Encouragement Required

This past week I received 1 card, 2 letters, 3 texts, and 2 emails/messages that were a tremendous blessing to my heart. These people took time out of their lives to encourage me, to thank me, or perhaps just to be kind. Each one was special, each one truly lifted my spirits. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 THEREFORE ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER AND BUILD ONE ANOTHER UP...

Now obviously it is not a typical week for me to receive that much encouragement, but for whatever reason (AND I AM OH SO GRATEFUL) the Lord led people to encourage me this past week.

As I received each one I began to think about how often I take the time to specifically encourage people in my life. Encouraging those people that love me, encouraging those that I see need it, encouraging a friend just because, how about encouraging my authority?

I do not know a single person who DETESTS being shown that they are appreciated, that they are loved, that they are respected...

Encouragement is a requirement in the body of Christ. Are you doing your part?

Write a card this week, send a sweet text or email, go out of your way to love on someone. You never know just how much someone may need it.

Be Blessed,

J. Tate
