The Accuser of the Brethren

In Revelation 12:10 satan is referred to as "the accuser of the brethren". Satan is an accuser of Christians. His desire is to make you works minded to the point that you begin to try and earn love, acceptance, forgiveness, from God. Works based Christianity goes against the heart of our Father God. The very heartbeat of God is unconditional love, unrelenting grace, never ending forgiveness, and the enemy is passionate about you being confused and distorted on God's heart for you.

No Christian is exempt from the accusations of the enemy. He will try anything to make you feel guilty, unworthy, unforgiven, unloved, hopeless, unable... etc. He will try to convince you that God has conditional characteristics. You must be this holy in order to be loved, you must witness to this many people to be a good Christian, you have to have this many verses memorized in order to teach others, etc.

There is freedom in humbleness and understanding of your position in the sight of God. You didn't do anything to earn salvation and you can't do anything to earn His unconditional love and grace. I find such freedom in Romans 5:8 that His love is demonstrated in that while I was still a sinner, He died for me. Love cannot be greater. Before I ever made a commitment to Him, before I ever loved Him, He died for me.

As you make a decision to live for Christ you step into right standing with God. YOU HAVE BEEN TRANSFORMED! You are no longer a slave or a beggar, you are a CHILD you are a DAUGHTER/SON OF GOD! You are covered by His grace, and as paul states in Romans it is not a license to go on sinning, but it is an empowerment to grow in Christ. *IT IS IMPORTANT TO LEARN TO RECEIVE FROM THE FATHER!! Receive His unconditional love, grace, mercy, favor, promises. When we learn to receive from the Father then it will become harder and harder for satan to accuse you.  Be convinced of your Biblical position as a child of God.

This morning I woke up with a song on my heart. The song was "I am loved by God" by Sarah Edwards. I began to just sing "Right now, today, I am loved by God, this is my testimony!" I grabbed my computer turned on the song and began to dance around my room as the song just began to get me more and more excited.

Revelation 12:11 "and they overcame by THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB AND THE WORD OF THEIR TESTIMONY"

When the accuser comes. Remember your testimony. You are loved by God. Right now, today, YOU ARE LOVED BY GOD and there will never be anything that can change that.

Be Blessed,

J. Tate
