Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled

How often are we tempted to focus on our frustrating circumstances? Our flesh is a deceiver that beckons you to look at the negative things in  your life. It feeds off of things to complain about and yet the Spirit is on the inside constantly reminding you of God's reality. For you did not receive a spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father." (Romans 8:15)

God's reality, for Christians, is that you are child. Jesus Christ, perfect lamb, shed His blood for you. You are redeemed. The circumstances that you are facing are TEMPORARY (2 Cor. 4:16-17). The war has already been won as Jesus laid down His life and resurrected defeating sin and death for you.

Sometimes we need to tell our flesh to shut up and listen to God's reality, which the Spirit is ever speaking to us. You're a child of God. You are loved. A price has been paid for you.

As Paul says in 2 Cor. 4 "Do not lose heart" and as Jesus says in John 14 "Let not your heart be troubled".

Be Blessed,
