Go Time- London, Entebbe, Yei

Well the time is finally here. It's hard to believe it to be honest. Months of planning, preparing, fundraising, and now it's time. Today Maegan and I leave at 4:20 for a direct flight to London. We'll spend the day in London doing some sight seeing then fly down to Entebbe, Uganda. Maegan will then take a car up to Northern Uganda. I will spend the night in a hotel and take a flight the next morning into S. Sudan. To finish off the trip Maegan and I will meet back up in Kampala, Uganda to minister in some churches, college classes, on a radio show, film a tv segment, and a few other things. We will land in Houston on July 23rd.

I sit here and I'm most excited about two things. Smelling the African air and holding orphans. The thing I've learned about foreign mission trips is, we Americans somehow get it in our heads that we're going over there and we're going to change the masses for Jesus and yet, the ones who always get most changed is us. I believe I will see God do incredible things over this month, lives will be changed, some saved, some healed, some freed and delivered, but one thing is for sure, I will be changed. There's always these divine moments where God speaks to you more about who He is, while you're simply holding a child who is hungry and has no parents.

I want to see countless lives touched and changed and I want to be humble enough that one of those lives is mine. God is the same God over there that He is here and He has miracles in  mind, people He wants to become apart of His family, things He wants done, and I'm blessed to get to be a vessel.

Keep us in your prayers. And I'll post when possible! Be Blessed, J. Tate
