I'm sitting here snuggled up in my blanket in my new residence. As many of you know last spring I started feeling like it was time to move on to something new. It was one of the hardest decisions I've ever made, but I really felt through much time of prayer that I wasn't supposed to sign my renewal contract with Liberty ISD.
As time came along God proved Himself faithful as doors began to open to go work for different churches and ministries. Turns out having multiple options is way harder than only having one LOL.
I spent the majority of my summer in Africa and upon returning home began to seek the Lord on just where He wanted me. There were curve balls thrown, thoughts, plans, changes, reevaluation, to put it honestly the last few weeks have been a time like no other in my life. I honestly had no inclination on what the Lord wanted for me and time was closing in.... So you're probably wondering... WHERE ARE YOU?
I took a job as the youth minister at Freedom Family Church in Ville Platte, Louisiana. I'm excited to see what God has in store for me and for this city.
Words can't express how hard it has been to leave friends, family, and my many spiritual children that have so captured my heart these last two years. As I've told you all, it's not goodbye, we'll keep in touch. As hard as leaving is, I know God is faithful. I know He has things planned that I can't even dream of and I'm always excited about catching onto His vision, because it's so much bigger and better than mine.
So from Ville Platte, Louisiana. Be Blessed, J. Tate
