Hopin', Wishin', Prayin'

All of us have an area in our life that could use some God intervention. I have things I've been believing God for just for a few weeks, some for months, and sure some for years. Over the last few weeks I've really seen God move in ways that honestly have left me astonished and.... here's a word for you... surprised. This morning I was just talking to God about several different areas I've seen Him really moving and I asked God.. why? He didn't really give a direct answer except I began to hear scriptures I've been declaring come up in my Spirit. Many of these scriptures I pray and declare hundreds of times a day, some just a few times a day, but every single one I say and pray daily and have been, most of them for years.

The Word says we have not because we ask not (james 4:2) , it says that the prayers of a righteous man availeth much (James 5:16) , John says that anything we ask in the name of Jesus we can have  (john 14:14), we know it says delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart (ps. 37:4).

Though I'm so thankful for the prayers I'm seeing answered, there are still many things I'm believing for. I asked God, how come you moved in this situation? How come I haven't seen you move in this situation?

There's so much that we just don't know when it comes to seeing prayers answered. First we actually HAVE TO ASK!! How much time do we spend hoping and wishing, but not really praying. Second we really have to have faith, we have to TRUST GOD TO BE GOD. I've learned that I need to not just have faith WHEN I'm asking, but I need to keep my faith up while I'm WAITING! That's the important part of declaring the scriptures THROUGHOUT the day. When your mind tries to tell you that God isn't working in your situation, you just began to declare the Word some more!!! Finally know that there are many things going on we can't see with our own eyes. Often times we can't see what's happening in the spiritual realm (think about while Daniel was waiting for His answer), we can't see what God can see, and often times we don't know when others choices and free will may impact our answers too.

As I've seen God answer prayers these last few weeks I am more determined than ever to pray more, ask more, and declare the Word more. Continue to watch God be faithful to me and grow in my faith in Him. God will do what He said He'll do, He is who He says He is, and we just have to keep standing, believing, praying, declaring. Don't grow weary, don't give up, just keep on.

Be Blessed, J. Tate
