It's Accessible

Have you realized that the most important things in life are accessible through Jesus Christ? I'm so thankful that it's not on my shoulders to provide my own salvation, love, covenant, peace, joy, healing, restoration, redemption, even my own sanctification.

You see all of those things are made accessible through Jesus, all I have to do is choose them.

I don't have to make myself righteous... I get the free gift of righteousness through Jesus.  For if, because of one man's trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:17) I can reign in life through Jesus Christ.

I don't have to find access to the Father, access has been granted.  for through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father. (Eph. 2:18)

I don't have to find good and perfect gifts, He gives them! "Every good and perfect gift is from  your Father above.." (James 1:17)

I don't have to look for peace or create peace, He gave me HIS peace! Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid (John 14:27) And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Phil. 4:7)

I don't have to try and muster up love, He gave me His love! ...because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost who is given unto us. (Romans 5:5)

I don't have to rely on my joy, it's HIS JOY, that is my strength!  And do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength. (Neh. 8:10)

I don't have to create my salvation, salvation is THROUGH HIM! For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Rom. 6:23)

I don't have to try and redeem my mistakes, I have redemption THROUGH HIM! Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated [us] into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, [even] the forgiveness of sins: (Col. 1:13-14)

ARE YOU GETTING THE POINT YET OR SHALL I KEEP GOING?!? There is a joy and excitement building up in me as I review these precious truths.

What have you been trying to do yourself?

According as his divine power hath given unto us ALL THINGS that pertain unto life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3)

Is it joy, faith, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness, forgiveness, love, strength, help, answers, affirmation??? Why could Paul sing in a prison cell, because He knew that no matter his circumstances His God would fulfill Him, His God had a plan for Him, all that He needed was ACCESSIBLE not based on his own merit, not based on his own ability, not based on his own righteousness, but ALL OF IT WAS BASED ON THE QUALIFICATIONS OF THE PERFECT ONE... JESUS CHRIST!!!

Wow I can work myself up with the Word of God?!?! Yes even your own sanctification God said He'd make accessible to you.  Phil. 1:6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

So where does the problem lie? So many times we want to try and do things with our limited knowledge, with our limited strength, with our limited encouragement, with our humanly affirmation, with our mustered up peace, with our own works for salvation, with our own thoughts of redemption, with or own....... anything.

On top of EVERYTHING that Christ did to make accessible to you EVERYTHING you could ever need in this life, He then gave you something beyond my logical comprehension. He GAVE YOU THE PRECIOUS HOLY SPIRIT!!! He sent the very godhead to LIVE IN YOU!

So through Jesus, in Jesus, by Jesus, all things are made accessible and THEN He even sent the Holy  Spirit to help you! My goodness that's like taking my class, lecturing on the information, taking the test myself and making a 100, then giving my students my cheat sheet, THEN I even let them take the CHEAT SHEET INTO THE TEST!!!

Through Jesus life, death, resurrection, and blood we've gained access THEN through the Holy Spirit we have a constant companion urging us to choose the Way, Truth, and Life in every situation.

Oh take some time today to praise Him for all that has been given to us. He has not left us alone. He has provided the way, He has given a Helper, you have all you need accessible to you!!

Be Blessed, J. Tate
