"Through It all, Through It All, my eyes are on youSo let go my soul and trust in Him The waves and wind still know His name It is well, It is well, It is well with my soul" (It Is Well by Bethel)
I've been playing this song over and over and talking about it with friends since I came home from Virginia.
Life will always be full of highs and it will have its fair share of lows. You'll have incredible seasons on the mountain tops and then you'll have times of tests and trials. Sometimes trials will last minutes, hours, but sometimes they'll last months or even years. Some things you'll completely understand and then some things just won't make sense. There will be times where you feel like you could go for miles and times when you're not sure you can take one more step. BUT... through it all.
Through it all where is your focus? Through it all where do you turn? In the highs and the lows our eyes should be on Him, our Helper, our Strong Tower, our Friend, our Guide, our Lord. As we read the Word, we focus on Jesus, and spend time in His presence, we're able to say "let go my soul and trust in Him." Let go of the pain, let go of the hurt, let go of the control, and trust in Him. Trust His love, trust His ability, trust his Word, trust Him to take care of you and your situations.
Be Blessed, J. Tate
I'm sorry that most of my blogs have been excerpts from Brian Simmons. I have really been enjoying his writing lately and love to share it with you. I've also been spending time on doing some personal writing, some of which you'll get to read soon!
