Daddy's Heart

God is love. (Apostle John) Love is the greatest (Apostle Paul) Love each other with fervent love (Apostle Peter) When you slander a brother you violate the Law of Love (Apostle James) To the Lovers of God (Luke, author of Luke & Acts) Love one another (Jesus Christ) I love you! (Father God) The Fruit of the Spirit is Love (Holy Spirit)

The church world often says, "Don't take love too far, you'll make agape sloppy." The Word of God says - There is no boundary to love, it excels all things, has no boundary, no limitations. Go and discover its height, length, depth, and width. (Galatians 5:22-23, I Corinthians 13, Ephesians 3:14-20)

(This was taken from TPT writer Brian Simmons)

This morning as I read his words on love they began to grip me in my heart once again. I've always said I am like the apostle John. I will run up in Daddy's lap throw my head on His chest and listen for His heartbeat. But what is God's heartbeat?

I began praying a prayer many times a day while I was in DRC. I'd say, "Daddy, what are you feeling right now?" I want to know His heart, I want to know what He's feeling, I want to be apart of what He's doing, I want to look like Him, I want to think like Him, I want to talk like Him. The truth is His heart isn't complicated at all. Daddy's heart is love.

His heart is for His children to know His love, to be in love with Him, and to take His love and love others.

It's pretty easy to run into Daddy's lap and say I LOVE YOU, I LOVE YOU, I LOVE YOU, YOU LOVE ME, I LOVE YOU. But to walk out of that place and love those around you the same way?!? It's easy to say Daddy I love you I love you after He's shown me how much He loves me. What about continuously loving the one who hasn't loved you? What about loving the addict, rapist, or murderer? What about loving the one who as persecuted you?

As you spend time with Daddy we lavish in His love for us and our love for Him, but there's something else that should be occurring, your heart begins to long for what His heart longs for.

Daddy's heart longs for every single human being to know His love. That addict may have no other picture of God's love than what you display to them. That rapist doesn't have a clue what the love of the Father is like, so show them. That child running from God needs a taste of unconditional love.

The world is in desperate need of love. The real love of a real God whose love is unconditional, it endures LONG, it's patient, kind, it doesn't keep an account of suffered wrong, it's not selfish. The world is starving this love and God is wanting His children who know His love, to demonstrate it to a hungry world.
