New Year, New You?

Every year I write a blog right before January begins that sounds quite obviously similar to the years previous.I don't LOVE New Years resolutions.

I think that as Christians we have the privilege of living "New Year" every day. When we accepted Christ we became NEW and we received Holy Spirit. With our awesome Helper, every day gets to be a day that we can change, mold, shape, and become more like Jesus. However, I'm a huge proponent of making healthy and wise changes to our life as we reflect on who we are and who we want to be.  Okay slight rant over :)

This coming year has so much stirring in my heart. I'll be easy this year wasn't easy, in fact it was flat out hard, but I trust Daddy God and I believe it is just another stepping stone that will be used to mold me to look more like Jesus. I won't go on another writing frenzy on His redemption, you can just go read the blog from a few weeks ago HERE.

Last year I issued a challenge that most of you joined me on. For thirty days we wrote love letters to Jesus.

This year the word stirring in my heart for 2015 is consecration. I encourage you to ask God what consecration looks like for you in 2015. Maybe more specific times of prayer, fasting, or service.

Because writing love letters to Jesus was so AWESOME last year. I want to do a very similar thing this year. For 30 days I encourage you to journal a testimony of something God did for you that day or something you are grateful for. At the end of the month you will have a months worth of TESTIMONY to look back on and celebrate.

Get ready 2015 is going to be powerful. Be Blessed, J. Tate
